Fall Events in San Francisco in 2023 - Pumpkin Patches & Cultural Events

While many places experience dramatic foliage changes, San Francisco's Mediterranean climate keeps its landscapes relatively green year-round. What defines autumn in the Bay Area is the cooling temperatures and a refreshing breeze off the Pacific Ocean, which brings relief from the summer heat. Fall also marks the return of local festivals and cultural events that are highlighted here.

Latino Film Festival

Cine+Más SF contributes to the Bay Area’s active and diverse arts scene through the Latino Film Festival, year-round programming and special events centered on Latino arts- including the visual, performance, and literary arts.

The Cine+Mas SF Latino Film Festival showcases the work of emerging and established filmmakers from the US, Latin America, Spain and Portugal. It is a celebration of the latest work coming out of the 20+ countries and the diaspora with which we share a bond.

Fleet Week 

Date: October 2nd-10th

Location: The Air Show is Between GGB and Alcatraz. Other Events at Various Locations Throughout The City

Held annually between the Golden Gate Bridge and Alcatraz, The San Francisco Fleet Week Air Show Presented by United attracts fans from all over the globe. The waterfront event is headlined by The U.S. Navy Blue Angels and is the only air show in the United States with a commercial airliner, the United 777, to perform a fully choreographed act. Dont miss the Neighborhood Concert Series, an opportunity for San Franciscans to interact with our inspiring service men and women through performances right in your neighborhood throughout the City. Pumpkin Patch

Location: Alameda Point Pumpkin Patch

Candlelight Concerts 

Date: Oct. 5th - Dec. 22nd

Location: St. Ignatius Church

Experience peak ambiance with candlelight concerts recreating your favorite songs. Whether you're a Metallica fan or a Swiftie, they have a night specific for you. Of course, they also play season-specific classics for Halloween and Christmas. Brought to you by Fever, which hosts thousands of Candlelight Concerts all over the Bay Area and country.

San Francisco Fall Antiques Show

The San Francisco Fall Show is the leading international art, antiques, and design fair on the West Coast. Founded in 1982, the Show features over 40 of the top dealers from around the world, offering for sale an extraordinary range of fine and decorative arts representing all styles and periods, including paintings, furniture, precious metals, ceramics, jewelry, rugs, photography, works on paper, books, ethnographic art, and objets d’art.

Off the Grid: Fort Mason Center

Date: Until Oct. 27th

Location: Fort Mason Center

Enjoy a variety of food trucks at Fort Mason Center this October. Theme nights include a celebration of San Francisco, the Asian holiday Mid-Autumn Moon Festival, a taco takeover, a Filipino feast, a K-Pop + kimchi party, Klaycon (an ode to Golden State Warriors Klay Thompson), and a night dedicated to noodles. In addition to the best food trucks and pop-ups in the Bay Area, there ill be cocktails, beer, and wine, as well as an entertainment stage with live music, DJs, and dance performances. This year they are introducing a new and exciting experience at Fort Mason: Gather, a VIP village of 8 reservable booths where you and your friends can access exclusive menus and dishes that represent that night’s theme.

Free Golden Gate Park Bandshell Concerts

Location: Golden Gate Bandshell

The Golden Gate Park Bandshell has free concerts every week with a range of artists booked from R&B to EDM. Wednesday you'll find singer-songwriters, Folk, and rock music. Fridays are for Jazz, soul, R&B, and Funk Happy Hours. Saturday has cultural and community performances. Sundays are famously reserved for Reggae Sundays!
