If you own a rental property in San Francisco, here's a reminder to pay your rent board fee to the city by March 1st.
Previously the fee was collected with property taxes, but now needs to be paid separately. (bummer, we know!)
You may be able to collect half of the $59 fee from your tenant.
The city also requires landlords to report into the Housing Inventory database each year. They'll ask for information such as bedrooms, bathrooms, vacancy history, and contact info.
**In order to receive your license to increase rents you must complete the Housing Inventory form on the Rent Board website, so don't overlook this important requirement!
You can pay your fee and file your report here.
