Top Restaurants in The Sunset District

San Francisco's Sunset District really has it all; spacious homes, ocean breeze, public transportation, parks, iconic views, and incredible eats. The Sunset District is packed with delicious restaurants that will satiate any craving you have during any time of the day or week. Waking up on a weekday, and you want a delicious breakfast sandwich before you log in to work? Devil's Teeth Baking Company on Noriega is the winner. It's Saturday morning, and you are itching for brunch? Sunset Cantina or Outerlands on Judah will have what you need. It's dinnertime on Wednesday and you want to take the whole family out to eat? Crepevine has something for everyone. You just finished your Sunday Surf, and you've got a taste for freshly caught fish? Hook Fish Co on Irving has you covered. Even if you're just looking for small batch coffee or bread, the Sunset District has it.  Here are some of our favorite Sunset District restaurants, you MUST try.

Hook Fish Co - Located on Irving Street, Hook Fish Co provides thoughtfully sourced seafood direct to Sunset District locals. Once you eat their crispy and juicy fish and chips, you'll never be the same. Hook Fish Co offers classic plates like burritos, tacos, sandwiches, and salads with their own twist: fresh ingredients and delectable pairing.  MORE INFO

Sunset Cantina - Sunset Cantina is a coastal cantina that serves Mexican street food, tequila and mezcal! Even though you have other options along Judah Street, you'll keep coming back to Sunset Cantina for their ambiance, great service, well plated food, and perfectly crafted cocktails. Sunset Cantina even offers brunch on the weekends and to-go service. MORE INFO

Outerlands - Outerlands is well known for their housemade bread and their upscale brunch. Just a few blocks from Ocean Beach, Outerlands is the perfect spot to fuel up with high quality ingredients. Even their vegan options really hit the mark. A lot of their thousands of 5-star reviews mention impeccable service, low wait times, and a Dutch Pancake that is "to die for". MORE INFO

Devils Teeth Baking Company - Devils Teeth Baking Company is almost sacred for Sunset locals. Located on Noriega, this Sunset staple has a surprisingly extensive menu. From the breakfast sandwich and quiche to the veggie lasagna and chicken curry salad, you will NOT be disappointed. Enjoy your food on the parklet out front, or take it with you to the beach just a couple blocks away. MORE INFO

Crepevine Restaurants - This family owned restaurant offers "the best brunch in the bay area" according to their website. With homemade pancake batter, grade A maple syrup, cage-free farm eggs, housemade dressings and vegetables from local farmers, they definitely have my vote. Crepevine is conveniently located in the Inner Sunset on Irving near Golden Gate Park, which makes it an ideal meal before or after a day of exploring the city. Crepevine's menu is extensive and mouth watering, whether you're in the mood for breakfast or lunch, sweet or savory, you'll leave happy! MORE INFO

Underdogs Tres - Mexican food and sports? Yes please. Underdogs Tres offers a cozy space to watch your team while you score nachos, elote, sopa, tacos, flautas, or quesadillas. Underdogs is a local favorite in the Sunset District for their cervezas selection and large portions. Even if you're not into sports, there's an outdoor patio in the back with a large mural and great vibes. MORE INFO

Thanh Long restaurant - Thanh Long Restaurant is the definition of a "hole in the wall" which we all know is the best kind of restaurant. This surprisingly spacious restaurant opened in the Sunset District in 1975 and continues to serve locals authentic Vietnamese food. This humble establishment regularly serves hundreds of Sunset District locals and they are known for their Roasted Crab and Garlic Noodles with Tiger Prawns. If you are able to dine at Thanh Long, it is best to reserve a table ahead of time. MORE INFO
