Our clients moved to the US with the ultimate American Dream: Homeownership. As we all know, that's not an easy feat in the Bay Area, and even more daunting in San Francisco's toughest market: The Sunset District.
With a tight budget of $1.2MM, they initially hired an agent who wasn't helping them make much progress. After a dozen rejected offers, most people would have thrown in the towel. But our clients decided to give it another shot and hired Pacific Edge to represent them in their quest for a single-family home.
In the prior 6 months, there had only been eleven sales of vacant single-family homes in their price range in the Sunset and Parkside. That's a pretty small target to hit! But we hunted until we found them an under-the-radar gem just two blocks from the beach, with a huge lot and tremendous upside potential. Total jackpot!
The listing agent and seller had made some missteps (avoidable by asking your listing agent these 5 questions) that we were able to leverage to our clients' benefit. After getting into contract for a great price, we negotiated even more concessions for them, including another price reduction and an early close that allowed them to secure a lower interest rate.
Huge congrats to our clients for their perseverance, vision, and willingness to make some strategic compromises in order to achieve the bigger goal: Their own little piece of their favorite San Francisco neighborhood. Wishing them many years of happy memories and prosperity in their new place!
